micro1 is hiring a Remote Director of Infrastructure Engineering to build and scale production AI infrastructure. This full-time leadership role is ideal for engineers with expertise in AWS, GCP, Terraform, Kubernetes, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), CI/CD, cloud security, observability, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), platform engineering, distributed systems, automation, incident response, disaster recovery, and engineering leadership.

Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy and execution of multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or equivalent tools.
- Design, optimize, and secure CI/CD pipelines for reliable software delivery.
- Improve observability using metrics, logs, traces, monitoring, and alerting systems.
- Drive reliability through incident response, SLOs, disaster recovery, and operational excellence.
- Partner with engineering and security teams to maintain secure, compliant cloud infrastructure.
- Mentor and grow a high-performing Infrastructure Engineering team.
- Improve developer productivity through automation and platform engineering initiatives.
